Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of Madhya Pradesh on the occasion of the state’s 70th Foundation Day.
On this historic milestone, the Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh, now 70 years old, stands as a shining symbol of growth, resilience, and people’s participation. “Formed on November 1, 1956, this state, located in the heart of India, has carved out a distinct identity on the nation’s development map,” he said.
Reflecting on the state’s glorious journey, Dr. Yadav remarked,
“The 70-year developmental journey of Madhya Pradesh is a story of dedication, determination, and sustainable progress. This day reminds us of the hard work, vision, and democratic values of our forefathers — their faith in collective effort and our shared responsibility toward building a stronger state.”
Highlighting the transformation of the state, he noted that Madhya Pradesh — once labeled a “BIMARU” state — has now emerged as a leader in agriculture, irrigation, industry, education, healthcare, infrastructure, women empowerment, and environmental conservation.
“Madhya Pradesh today is known as the Food Basket of India, achieving self-reliance in food production while implementing multiple initiatives to double farmers’ income,” the Chief Minister stated.
Dr. Yadav also underscored the success of welfare and empowerment schemes, saying,
“Schemes like Devi Ahilya Nari Sashaktikaran Mission and Ladli Laxmi Yojana have become models of women empowerment. For the youth, initiatives such as the Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana and Startup Madhya Pradesh have opened new avenues of employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship.”
He further emphasized that the state is now moving ahead with the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’, focusing on smart cities, green energy, water conservation, digital governance, and rural transformation.
“Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra — Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas — Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a truly self-reliant and progressive state,” he said. “Our development model is not just about physical growth, but about social, cultural, and economic enrichment, making Madhya Pradesh the true heartbeat of India.”
Dr. Yadav affirmed that the government’s clear vision is to ensure that every citizen benefits from development, every hand finds meaningful work, every home experiences prosperity, and every heart feels pride in being a Madhya Pradesh resident.
Concluding his message, the Chief Minister said,
“The 70th Foundation Day is a moment to celebrate our past achievements and define our golden future. I call upon every citizen to unite and contribute actively to building a Developed, Self-Reliant, and Empowered Madhya Pradesh. Together, through collective effort and commitment, we can make our land — our Madhya Pradesh — a leader in every field.”
