Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh: A rare and emotional incident unfolded at Biaora Civil Hospital in Rajgarh district, where a 23-year-old woman gave birth to three baby girls in her first delivery. While the mother is reported to be in good health, the joy of the family turned into sorrow as one of the newborns tragically passed away soon after birth.
According to hospital sources, Pooja Sondhiya, a resident of Chhatri village, was admitted to Biaora Civil Hospital on Sunday. She delivered her first baby girl weighing 1.5 kg at 10:16 p.m., the second weighing 1.7 kg at 11:40 p.m., and the third baby girl weighing 1.6 kg at 12:09 a.m. The news of triplet daughters quickly spread, drawing attention and amazement among the hospital staff and local residents.
One Infant Succumbs, Two Shifted to Higher Centre
Maternity in-charge Manisha Chauhan informed that such cases of triplet births are extremely rare. After a safe delivery, the babies were found to be underweight and were referred to a higher medical center for specialized care. Unfortunately, one of the infants could not survive despite medical efforts.
Family’s Joy Turns Into Heartbreak
Initially, the family rejoiced at the arrival of three daughters, celebrating the birth as a divine blessing. However, the sudden demise of one child cast a shadow of grief over the household. The remaining two baby girls are under close medical supervision, and their condition is being closely monitored by doctors.
The incident, blending joy and sorrow, has deeply moved the local community — reminding everyone of the fragility and preciousness of life.
