Woman Self-Medicats With Abortion Pills, Body Gets Poisoned, Kidneys Damaged; Doctor Warns: “Please Don’t Risk Your Life”

A shocking case highlighting the dangers of self-medication has come to light, where a woman suffered severe, life-threatening complications after taking abortion pills without medical supervision. According to gynecologist Dr. Samra Masood, the woman’s condition deteriorated to such an extent that toxic infection spread throughout her body, her kidneys were damaged, and she now requires lifelong medication and dialysis.

Dr. Masood has issued a strong warning to women, urging them never to take abortion pills without consulting a qualified doctor, as doing so can lead to serious and irreversible health consequences.

What Went Wrong

Sharing the case through an Instagram video, Dr. Masood explained that the woman initially took abortion pills to terminate an unwanted pregnancy without medical advice. Soon after, she experienced excessive bleeding, which led to severe blood loss. Although the heavy bleeding subsided after a few days, light bleeding continued for nearly two weeks.

Believing that the abortion was incomplete, the woman made a critical mistake—she repeatedly consumed abortion pills on her own. Over a span of three months, she reportedly took the pills four times.

Severe Health Consequences

This repeated and unsupervised intake caused serious complications. Infection spread throughout her body, leading to kidney failure, and she eventually had to be placed on dialysis. Doctors have confirmed that her kidney damage is permanent, and she will need medication for the rest of her life.

Easy Availability, Dangerous Misuse

Dr. Masood pointed out that abortion pills are easily available in the market, which leads many people to use them casually, without understanding that these are strong hormonal medications. When taken incorrectly or repeatedly, they can have devastating effects on the body.

Doctor’s Clear Advice

The gynecologist emphasized that abortion pills can be used safely only under proper medical guidance. Factors such as the duration of pregnancy, the woman’s medical history, and correct dosage are crucial and must be assessed by a doctor.

“Please don’t play with your life,” Dr. Masood warned. “Consult a doctor before taking any abortion medication. What may seem like a simple solution can turn into a lifelong health struggle.”
