Tired of Rodent Trouble? Mr. Singh Reveals a Homemade Way to Drive Rats Away Without Killing Them

Rats can be more than just a nuisance—they damage clothes, papers, and can even spread diseases. While many resort to chemical baits, these often lead to rats dying in hidden corners of the home, causing unpleasant odors. YouTuber Mr. Singh has shared a simple, traditional method to keep rats away without killing them, offering an effective solution for households.

Ingredients for the Homemade Rat Repellent

To make this remedy, you will need five common items:

  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of desi ghee
  • 1 tablespoon of detergent powder
  • 1 phenyl tablet

The flour and sugar attract the rats, while the aroma of ghee entices them to approach the mixture. The detergent and phenyl combination, however, encourages rats to leave the house.

Step 1: Prepare the Sweet, Aromatic Base

In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and ghee into a soft dough. The dough should be pliable and fragrant, as this will draw the rats out from their hiding spots. The smell of ghee activates their sense of smell, ensuring they come to investigate the mixture.

Step 2: Prepare the Repellent Core

In a separate bowl, crush the phenyl tablet into a fine powder and combine it with detergent powder. Rats dislike the strong smell of phenyl, and when mixed with detergent, it becomes highly unpleasant for them, prompting them to leave the premises.

Step 3: Form the Balls

Take small portions of the dough and insert a little of the phenyl-detergent mixture inside. Seal and roll them into small balls, similar to stuffed dumplings. The sweet outer layer attracts the rats, while the repellent core encourages them to vacate the area.

Step 4: Placement in the House

Place the prepared balls in areas where rats are most active—under the kitchen sink, behind the fridge, near cupboards, or in dark corners of the storage room. When rats nibble on the balls, the unpleasant aroma will drive them out to fresh air without causing them harm.

Safety Precautions

While effective, these balls contain phenyl and detergent, so they must be kept out of reach of children and pets. Place them in secure locations and wash your hands thoroughly after handling.

This natural and chemical-free method offers households a safe, humane way to manage rat problems while keeping homes fresh and hygienic.
