Rats Will Disappear Completely: Free Home Remedy Helps Block Their Entry, Says YouTuber Shikha

Getting rid of rats at home no longer requires expensive sprays or harmful chemical poisons. A simple homemade remedy using everyday kitchen items can help keep rats away permanently—without killing them. This method has been shared by YouTuber Shikha Pandey, and is gaining attention for being affordable, effective, and relatively safe.

Rats in the house are not only a hygiene issue but also a major cause of disease and property damage. For many people, especially those afraid of rodents, their presence can make daily life extremely stressful. While rat-killing chemicals are commonly used, they are often toxic and pose serious risks to children and pets.

In such a situation, this natural and low-cost solution offers relief by driving rats out of the house instead of killing them.

Why This Remedy Works

The effectiveness of this remedy lies in its unique mixture. It uses tea leaves, an expired tablet, wheat flour or gram flour, and detergent powder. The smell of tea leaves attracts rats, while the detergent and tablet powder cause discomfort in their digestive system. After consuming it, rats do not die but experience restlessness and irritation, forcing them to run outside in search of fresh air—eventually avoiding the house altogether.

How to Prepare the Mixture

According to Shikha Pandey, follow these simple steps:

  1. Take an old plastic container.
  2. Add one spoon of used tea leaves and a little water.
  3. Crush an expired tablet into powder and mix it in.
  4. Add two spoons of wheat flour or gram flour, which rats are naturally attracted to.
  5. Finally, add one spoon of detergent powder and knead the mixture into a firm dough.

Make Small Balls

From the prepared dough, make small round balls. Sprinkle a little dry flour on top of each ball. This dry coating tricks rats into believing it is normal food. Once they nibble on it, the mixture begins to take effect.

Place Them at the Right Spots

For best results, place these balls in areas where rats are frequently seen, such as:

  • Behind the gas cylinder
  • Kitchen corners
  • Under sofas or heavy cupboards
  • Store rooms
  • Corners near the main entrance

With regular placement, rats begin to avoid these areas and gradually stop entering the house.

Safety Precautions

Although this method is considered safer than chemical poisons, some precautions are necessary:

  • Keep the balls out of reach of children and pets
  • Wash hands thoroughly with soap after preparing the mixture
  • Replace the balls every 2–3 days to maintain effectiveness

By using this simple and cost-free household remedy, you can effectively reduce rat infestation and restore peace at home.
