Make Healthy “Atta Noodles” at Home: Save Money and Avoid Junk Food

Looking for a budget-friendly, healthy snack for your kids? “Bharat’s Kitchen” has shared a simple trick to turn regular wheat flour into delicious noodles—without using oil. This method not only saves money but also avoids the harmful effects of refined flour.

Preparing the Dough
Start by kneading firm wheat dough for the puris. Apply a little oil and let it rest for 10 minutes to set properly. The dough should be stiff so that the puris hold their shape while boiling.

Boiling the Puris
Bring about 1 litre of water to a boil in a large pan. Add a teaspoon of salt and a dash of oil. While the water heats, divide the dough into small portions and roll them into puris, keeping them medium in thickness.

Once the water boils vigorously, add the puris one by one and simmer for 4–5 minutes. When they float and become slightly firm, they are cooked. Remove them and rinse with normal water to wash off extra starch. Lightly coat with oil and let them cool. Slice the puris thinly into long, noodle-like strips.

Preparing the Vegetables
Chop your favorite vegetables—bell peppers, carrots, onions, and spring onions—into thin, long strips. Finely chop ginger and green chilies.

Cooking the Noodles
Heat oil in a pan and sauté ginger, chilies, and onions on high flame. Add the other vegetables and cook until crisp. Season with soy sauce and black pepper. Finally, add the wheat noodles, salt, and chili sauce. Mix well and serve hot.

This simple, oil-free recipe transforms ordinary wheat dough into a healthy, restaurant-style snack that children will love.
