By Megha Chaudhary | Jaipur: After long-awaited anticipation by thousands of devotees, renowned katha narrator Indresh Upadhyay has officially tied the knot with Shipra Bawa. Their wedding, a spectacular Vedic ceremony, took place on December 5 at Taj Amer Hotel, Jaipur, attended by fellow narrators and prominent personalities.

Grand Wedding and Blessing Ceremony

The festivities included Mehendi, Sangeet, and the traditional Pheras. During the evening Varmala and blessing ceremony, Indresh Upadhyay made a royal entry, holding a silver staff and riding a carriage, showcasing a majestic “kingly” aura. The bride, Shipra, captured hearts in a red lehenga, adorned with intricate embroidery and sequined detailing, resembling a princess straight out of a fairytale.

Indresh Upadhyay retained his signature look, donning a frock-style kurta with floral embroidery, paired with a dhoti. His attire was complemented by a heavy pearl necklace, pagri, and a belted stole styled with pleats, reflecting a perfect blend of tradition and grandeur.

Bride Shipra’s Regal Look

Shipra Bawa dazzled in a red lehenga featuring ball-gown flares with can-can layers. The lehenga skirt was accentuated with gold embroidery, sequins, and patchwork designs, while the blouse had elegant half-sleeves with ornate borders. She styled two dupattas—one draped like a pallu and the other over her head, adding a trail effect to her ensemble. Her jewelry included a full-neck necklace, maang tika, nath, earrings, and gold bangles, perfectly complementing her bridal look.

During the Pheras, she wore a gold-embroidered silk saree with a red dupatta, paired with traditional gold bangles and jewelry, completing the regal ensemble.

A Match Made in Tradition and Style

The couple’s traditional yet stylish attire, royal entry, and meticulously planned ceremonies made for a wedding that truly reflects heritage, grace, and elegance. Every detail, from the intricate embroidery to the royal accessories, showcased their refined taste and love for tradition.
