After the wedding of renowned storyteller Indresh Upadhyay, Indore is now abuzz with the grand wedding of MLA Golu Shukla’s son, Anjanesh Shukla. Touted as the city’s biggest wedding of the year, the venue was adorned with traditional décor featuring divine statues rather than a modern setup, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. The stage showcased a statue of Lord Shiva, in front of which a stunning varmaala ceremony took place, leaving guests mesmerized.
A Bride Who Stole the Spotlight
Simar, the bride, left everyone spellbound with her elegance. She changed outfits three times during the wedding rituals, each look more dazzling than the last. Her red lehenga, intricately embellished, brought a royal aura reminiscent of a princess. The groom, Anjanesh, wore a cream-beige sherwani with detailed embroidery, looking every bit the prince beside his stunning bride.
Red Lehenga Makes a Comeback
This wedding season, traditional red lehengas are trending, and Simar’s bridal ensemble was a perfect example. Heavy embroidery, peacock motifs, and rich zardosi work enhanced the lehenga, while the rust-red color added vibrance. The upper portion featured peacocks perched elegantly, with floral motifs and sequins further elevating the design.
Double Dupatta Styling
Simar carried two dupattas for a regal effect. The heavily embroidered side dupatta was draped open and pinned at the back, while a lightweight net dupatta with golden sequin border rested gracefully on her head. A half-sleeve blouse completed the ensemble, making her the center of attention throughout the wedding.
Royal Jewelry to Complete the Look
Simar’s jewelry accentuated her bridal charm—Kundan statement necklace, double-layer long necklace, maang tika, nose ring, drop earrings, red bangles, rings, and Kundan bangles created a true queen-like appearance. For the subsequent ceremonies, she switched outfits, including a yellow lehenga for the pheras and a Banarasi saree for the vidai, adding modern elegance to traditional rituals.
A Wedding to Remember
From the varmaala to the pheras and sindoor daan, every detail of the wedding exuded grandeur. Simar’s style, combined with Anjanesh’s regal attire, ensured this wedding will be remembered as one of the most glamorous celebrations of the year in Indore.
