Cockroaches create chaos the moment their numbers begin to rise, spreading dirt and even disease. Many people rely on chemical sprays to get rid of them, but these products can be harmful to health and the environment. For those looking for a natural and effective solution, Yoga Guru Kailash has shared an easy, completely home-based remedy to drive cockroaches away.
A Natural, Safe and Eco-Friendly Solution
According to Yoga Guru Kailash, this home remedy does not kill cockroaches instantly but drives them away due to its strong smell, which cockroaches dislike. All required ingredients are easily available in every Indian household.
Ingredients Required
To prepare this natural cockroach-repellent spray, you will need:
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- Vinegar
- Curry leaves
- Honey
- 1 small piece of cinnamon
- 1 glass of water
Cloves and curry leaves have a strong aroma that cockroaches cannot tolerate. Vinegar works as a natural cleaner and disinfectant. Honey adds thickness to the mixture and also helps attract cockroaches toward the treated areas.
Method of Preparation
1. Grind All Ingredients
Add cloves, vinegar, curry leaves, honey, cinnamon, and one glass of water into a grinder.
Grinding helps release the natural oils and strong fragrances of cloves and curry leaves into the water, making the solution more potent and effective.
2. Strain the Mixture
After grinding, strain the liquid using a fine cloth or sieve.
This ensures that no solid particles remain, making it easy to use in a spray bottle.
3. Fill in a Spray Bottle
Pour the strained solution into a clean spray bottle.
The spray bottle helps you reach deep corners, cracks, and hidden spots where cockroaches usually hide.
Where to Spray
Use this natural spray on:
- Under the kitchen sink
- Behind and beneath the refrigerator
- Around the dustbin
- Corners of kitchen cabinets
- Bathroom corners
- Near drains
- Dark and moist areas where cockroaches hide
Use Regularly for Best Results
For effective results:
- Spray daily during the initial days, preferably in the evening when cockroaches are most active.
- Once their activity decreases, use the spray 2–3 times a week to prevent them from returning.
