Fastest Way to Grow Fresh Coriander: “Make a Small Bundle and Press into Soil, You’ll Be Amazed in 2 Days,” Reveals Gardener

Everyone knows that fresh coriander can be grown in pots at home. But did you know there’s a fast-track “bundle trick” to grow coriander leaves quickly? Gardening expert Raj Kumar Khute shares this simple method that can make your coriander sprouts appear in just two days.

Fresh coriander is in high demand across Indian kitchens and is considered the heart of many traditional dishes. While growing it at home is often preferred, many hesitate because coriander seeds usually take time to germinate.

Choosing the Right Seeds
The first and most crucial step is selecting quality seeds. Older seeds take longer to sprout. Slightly crush coriander seeds without breaking them completely, then soak them in water for 6 to 8 hours. This softens their hard outer layer and speeds up germination.

The Gardener’s “Bundle Trick”
The secret to fast sprouting lies in the “bundle technique.” Take the soaked seeds out of water and place them in a thin cotton cloth or handkerchief. Tie it tightly into a small bundle and gently press it into moist soil in a pot or container.

Ensure that the bundle is not buried too deep, and the soil is lightly moist, not wet. Pressing the bundle into soil provides consistent warmth and moisture, creating an ideal environment for seeds to germinate naturally.

Germination in Just 2 Days
Normally, coriander seeds take 10–15 days to sprout, but the bundle trick reduces this time to just 2 days. Carefully remove the bundle from the soil after two days, open it, and you’ll be amazed to see tiny white sprouts emerging. These sprouted seeds quickly root into the soil, initiating rapid plant growth.

Planting and Fertilizing
Transfer the sprouted seeds carefully into prepared soil in pots or garden beds. Spread them evenly and cover lightly with a thin layer of soil. Add a thin layer of vermicompost or well-decomposed cow dung. Water gently using a spray bottle or sprinkler so the seeds remain undisturbed.

Fresh Coriander in 5–6 Days
With proper care and this quick trick, you can enjoy fresh, aromatic coriander in just 5–6 days. From soaking seeds to the first harvest, the total time is approximately 7–8 days. Coriander grows well even in low light and doesn’t require full sunlight. Keep the soil consistently moist but avoid waterlogging.
