As winter begins, most parents worry about how to protect their children from frequent coughs and colds. Seasonal changes make kids more vulnerable, and repeated illness becomes a common concern. To address this problem, paediatrician Dr. Pawan Mandaviya has shared a simple yet highly effective home remedy: a daily immunity-boosting juice that strengthens resistance naturally while improving skin glow and hair health.
A Simple Immunity Booster for Winter
In his recent Instagram video, Dr. Mandaviya explains that giving children a small “immunity booster shot” every day can significantly reduce the chances of falling sick during the winter months. This mixture is made using powerful natural ingredients rich in antioxidants and vitamins.
Why This Juice Works
According to Dr. Mandaviya, the blend not only strengthens immunity but also enhances skin texture and promotes healthy hair growth. The ingredients used—Indian gooseberry (amla), ginger, and fresh turmeric—are well known for their healing and anti-inflammatory properties.
How to Prepare the Immunity-Boosting Shot
To make the juice at home, follow these simple steps:
- Wash amla, ginger, and raw turmeric thoroughly and cut them into small pieces.
- Add them to a mixer grinder.
- Optionally, add orange or sweet lime for extra vitamin C and flavour.
- Blend the mixture well with curry leaves, lemon juice, a few cloves, a pinch of salt, and a little water.
- Strain the blended mixture using a fine sieve to extract clean juice.
Make a 7-Day Stock
Dr. Mandaviya suggests preparing a week’s stock in advance:
- Pour the juice into an ice tray
- Freeze it
- Each day, take out one cube, mix it in lukewarm water, and give it to the child
This makes it easy for parents to maintain a daily routine without the hassle of preparing fresh juice every morning.
A Winter Essential for Every Child
Dr. Mandaviya says this booster shot is not only tasty but also extremely beneficial for children during winter. It helps strengthen the body’s natural defence system, reduces seasonal infections, and keeps skin and hair healthy.
