Dark circles have become a common concern today due to poor lifestyle habits and unhealthy dietary choices. While most people believe that sleeping more will fix the issue, experts say the problem is much deeper. If you want to reduce dark circles naturally, you only need 10 minutes a day and three simple exercises.
Why Dark Circles Appear
According to available online health information, dark circles can result from multiple factors—fatigue, lack of sleep, genetics, stress, dehydration, and even allergies. While many assume resting will solve the issue, wellness expert Kavita Arora explains in her Instagram video that dark circles don’t vanish with sleep alone. Additional care is needed.
Why Creams Are Not Always the Solution
Most people rely on under-eye creams to reduce darkness. Though these chemical-based creams may temporarily brighten the under-eye area, they can irritate the eyes and cause redness, watering, or discomfort. As a safer and more effective alternative, Arora recommends natural eye exercises.
Here Are the 3 Exercises That Help Reduce Dark Circles:
1. Circular Tapping Around the Eyes
Using your fingertips, gently tap around both eyes to form a circular motion.
- Perform 10 clockwise and 10 anti-clockwise rotations.
- Repeat the entire set three times.
This improves blood circulation around the eyes and helps lighten dark circles naturally.
2. Thumb Glide Under the Eyes
- Bend both thumbs and place the upper padded portion under your eyes.
- Apply light pressure and glide your thumbs outward toward the hairline.
- Repeat this exercise 5 times.
It relaxes the under-eye muscles and reduces puffiness and pigmentation.
3. Continuous Blinking Exercise
- Open your mouth slightly.
- Pull your lips inward so they fold inside.
- Form a V-shape with your fingers and place them at the outer corners of your eyes.
- Blink continuously for 15 seconds.
Repeat this exercise at least 3 times.
This strengthens the eye muscles and boosts circulation, helping the area appear brighter.
Natural Care Over Chemical Solutions
These exercises require no products, no investment, and just a few minutes each day. With consistency, they may help reduce dark circles significantly without the side effects of chemical creams.
