New Delhi: With the changing weather, many people are struggling with cold, cough, and mild fever. While these are generally not serious illnesses, they can cause discomfort, including sore throat, nasal congestion, sneezing, headaches, cough, and body weakness. Lack of proper rest and poor appetite can make daily activities difficult. According to Ayurveda expert Dr. Kapil Tyagi, several home remedies are highly effective in providing relief and boosting immunity, reducing dependence on medicines.

Effective Home Remedies for Cold & Cough

1. Honey:
Honey is a natural soothing agent for the throat. It helps reduce irritation and provides relief from dry cough. Honey can be consumed with warm water or herbal tea.

2. Ginger:
Ginger acts like a natural antibiotic. It helps reduce throat inflammation and phlegm. You can drink it as ginger tea or eat raw ginger with a pinch of salt.

3. Tulsi (Holy Basil):
Tulsi leaves are known to boost immunity and provide relief from cold, cough, and mild fever. Boil the leaves in water or add them to tea for best results.

4. Turmeric Milk:
