If you want to remove yellow stains from your teeth and bring back their natural shine, certain Ayurvedic home remedies may offer surprising results. In a recent podcast, journalist Shubhankar Mishra asked Ayurvedic expert Dr. Subhash Goyal about a simple and effective way to treat yellow teeth at home.
Yellow Teeth: A Hidden Indicator of Poor Oral Health
Yellow teeth are not just a cosmetic problem. Several studies have shown a link between poor oral hygiene and serious health conditions, including heart disease and cancer. Yet, many people struggle with stained teeth even after brushing multiple times with expensive toothpaste.
This led Shubhankar to raise a relatable question in his podcast.
“Chris Gayle’s Teeth Are As White As the Sun…”
Shubhankar said:
“I recently interviewed Chris Gayle. His teeth are whiter than the sun!
But many of us struggle with yellow and weak teeth. How can Ayurveda help?”
Dr. Goyal offered a simple yet powerful solution.
Doctor’s Ayurvedic Remedy: Start With Triphala Powder
Dr. Goyal recommended Triphala Powder, a blend of Harad, Baheda and Amla.
According to him, Triphala acts as a natural cleaner and helps remove impurities stuck on the teeth.
How to Use It
- Take one small spoon of Triphala powder in your palm
- Add a few drops of mustard oil
- Make a paste and gently rub your teeth with it
“Use it for a few days and you’ll see remarkable results,” he stated.
Babul Powder: Another Natural Tooth Cleaner
Dr. Goyal also suggested Babul (Acacia) powder as an excellent natural cleanser. Easily available in the market, it can be used as follows:
- Mix Babul powder with rock salt (sendha namak)
- Add a few drops of oil
- Use your finger or a soft brush to clean your teeth with this paste
This remedy, he said, not only whitens teeth but also strengthens them.
Also Helps Remove Bad Breath
The expert explained that these natural mixtures can also help people suffering from persistent bad breath, a condition that often causes embarrassment in social gatherings.
Regular use may improve overall oral hygiene, leaving teeth brighter, cleaner, and stronger.
