Actor Jatin Negi Opens Up About Long-Distance Love, Family, and the Challenges of Life on Set

For actors, being away from family is never easy. Jatin Negi, known for his roles in Ajay: The Untold Story of a Yogi, Body, Bell Bottom, and Code: Cash on Delivery, recently shared insights about his long-distance relationship and married life.

From Engineering to Acting
Jatin Negi, an FTII-trained actor from Pune, initially pursued engineering but soon realized his true passion lay in acting. Leaving engineering behind, he made a name for himself in films, television, and theater. Despite the struggles many face, Jatin considers himself fortunate for the support of his family, friends, and girlfriend—now his wife.

A Love That Began in the Classroom
Jatin first noticed his future wife, Priyanka, during a lecture at his acting school. At the time, she appeared disinterested, sitting in the front row and even dozing off during his solo performance. Initially frustrated, Jatin later learned that Priyanka was a makeup artist attending an art festival and not an acting student. Their curiosity and conversations grew into friendship, then love. Once their families learned about their relationship, marriage plans were soon underway. Today, the couple is happily married with a two-year-old daughter.

The Challenges of a Long-Distance Relationship
As both are in demanding careers—Jatin as an actor and Priyanka as a makeup artist—they often have to spend long stretches apart due to work commitments. “Being away from home is never easy,” Jatin shares. “Even though we are busy with our work during the day, evenings remind us of home and family. We make every effort to spend as much time together as possible. Now, being away from our daughter feels even harder.”

Despite the challenges, Jatin emphasizes that love, mutual support, and family bonding keep their relationship strong, proving that dedication and understanding can sustain even long-distance love.
