Yami Gautam Makes a Power-Packed Entry in ‘Dhurandhar 2’ Alongside Ranveer Singh

Following the historic success of Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’, fans are eagerly awaiting its sequel ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’, starring Ranveer Singh. Adding to the excitement, Yami Gautam, Dhar’s wife, is set to make a special cameo in the film, portraying a role that is expected to become a turning point in the storyline.

After the blockbuster success of the first film at the box office and OTT platforms, the teaser for Dhurandhar 2 was released on 3 February, sparking global enthusiasm. Yami Gautam, who has been a fan of the film herself, has joined the sequel in a small but pivotal role alongside Ranveer Singh.

A Key Role in the Sequel:
According to reports from Pinkvilla, Yami’s cameo is not just a brief appearance but an important narrative element that adds a shocking twist to the film. Her part, though concise, is expected to leave a strong impact on the audience. Yami has completed five days of shooting for her role, which is integral to the film’s plot rather than a simple cameo.

Yami Gautam on the Role:
Earlier, Yami expressed her excitement about joining the project, stating that she was impressed by the script. In an interview with News18, she said:
“When I read the script, I felt for a moment, ‘I wish I were a man.’ It’s an amazing script and a fascinating world.”

She also highlighted her understanding with Aditya Dhar about separating personal and professional roles, adding that she had no objection if another actor was deemed more suitable for a part. Notably, Dhar had given Yami a special thanks in the credits of the first ‘Dhurandhar’ film.

Release Date:
The high-budget sequel, produced under Jio Studios and B62 Studios, is scheduled to release on 19 March 2026, promising a grand cinematic experience.

Yami Gautam’s Notable Roles:
Yami Gautam has delivered memorable performances in films like ‘Kabil’ alongside Hrithik Roshan, portraying a visually impaired woman with depth and sensitivity. She also impressed audiences as a dynamic intelligence officer in Aditya Dhar’s ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’. Her other notable works include ‘A Thursday’, ‘Dasvi’, ‘Article 370’, and ‘Haq’, showcasing her versatility and strong screen presence.

With her entry in Dhurandhar 2, Yami Gautam promises to bring a fresh spark to the action-packed sequel, adding both star power and a crucial narrative twist.
