Aditya Dhar’s blockbuster Dhurandhar: The Revenge is set to release on March 19, 2026, and ahead of its release, a major update has emerged about the sequel. Reports suggest that Vicky Kaushal will be part of Dhurandhar 2, joining stars like Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal.
The first Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, collected a staggering ₹828.10 crore net in India in just 47 days, with a worldwide total of ₹1,287 crore. Its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is slated for release alongside high anticipation. Initially, its teaser was planned to be released alongside Border 2.
According to Mid Day, while Akshay Khanna will appear in the sequel only in flashback sequences, Vicky Kaushal will make an appearance as Major Vihaan from Uri: The Surgical Strike. Sources indicate that Aditya Dhar is keeping details of Kaushal’s entry under wraps, but it has been integrated thoughtfully into the Dhurandhar universe, despite the storyline differences between the films. Kaushal completed his portions of shooting in 2025, ahead of the sequel’s release.
It is not yet confirmed whether Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal will share screen space, but Kaushal’s cameo will include action sequences.
About ‘Dhurandhar 2’
The sequel will release on March 19, coinciding with Eid. Akshay Khanna’s character had died in the first film, so he will appear only briefly. Other confirmed cast members include Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun. The story will focus on the revenge plot and the struggle over control of Lyari, continuing the action-packed saga of the Dhurandhar universe.
