The latest BARC ratings for the fourth week are out, revealing the current leaders and laggards in Indian television. Smriti Irani’s show, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, has claimed the number one spot, while previously top-rated shows like Naagin 7 and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have experienced a significant drop in viewership.
Top Performers
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 leads this week with a TRP of 2.2, closely followed by Rupali Ganguly’s Anupama, also rated at 2.2. The difference in viewership is minimal, but the former has gained the edge due to engaging storylines, including Pari’s divorce track and Tulsi’s return to Shantiniketan. Upcoming plot twists, like the murder conspiracy surrounding Tulsi, are expected to sustain audience interest.
‘Naagin 7’ Slips to Third Position
Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 7, starring Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, which had been dominating the charts for weeks, has slipped to third place with a TRP of 2.1. Despite criticisms of VFX, viewers continue to appreciate Chahar Choudhary’s performance as the shape-shifting Naagin taking revenge on her enemies.
Other Notable Shows
- Fourth place goes to Tum Se Tum Tak (TRP 1.9), followed by Laughter Chefs – Final Face Off (TRP 1.9) in fifth.
- Vasudha (TRP 1.8) ranks sixth, and Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan (TRP 1.8) is seventh.
- Udne Ki Asha – Sapno Ka Safar (TRP 1.7) is eighth, while Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (TRP 1.6) ranks ninth.
- Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, which was at 12th last week, has improved slightly to tenth with a TRP of 1.6, following the much-anticipated wedding track of Popatlal. However, viewers were disappointed when the wedding did not take place.
