Prabhas’ new fantasy horror-comedy The Raja Saab has bombed at the box office, but fans won’t have to wait long to watch it at home. The film’s OTT release has been officially announced.
OTT Release Details
The Raja Saab, which released in theaters on 9 January 2026, will be available on digital platforms in less than a month after its theatrical debut. The early online release has sparked questions among fans, but the main reason is clear — the film underperformed severely at the box office and is now running on almost no shows. The makers have therefore decided to release it on OTT. The film will stream on JioCinema from 6 February 2026.
JioCinema Telugu posted on its X (formerly Twitter) account: “Our time has begun. Lose yourself in the magic of India’s biggest superstar on 6 February on JioCinema 🦖 #TheRajaSaabOnJioHotstar #TheRajaSaab #JioHotstar.”
The film will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
Box Office Collection and Performance
Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab features Prabhas alongside Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Malvika Mohanan, Nidhi Agarwal, Riddhi Kumar, and Zarina Wahab. Music is composed by Thaman S, with production design by Rajeevan.
With a reported budget of around ₹400 crore, the film managed only ₹207.43 crore worldwide, making it one of Prabhas’ biggest box office failures.
Plot Overview
Produced by People Media Factory and IV Entertainment, The Raja Saab tells the story of a man searching for his missing grandfather, gradually uncovering hidden family secrets. The story follows Raja, the last heir of a wealthy landlord family who has lost all his property. He lives a simple life with his grandmother Gangamma, who suffers from Alzheimer’s and waits for her missing husband Kanak Raju.
