Actress Tara Sutaria has made a startling revelation on social media, exposing how her image and career were targeted through paid negative publicity. According to Tara, social media influencers were given ₹6,000 each to create content aimed at defaming her. Her post has quickly gone viral.
The controversy stems from Tara and her boyfriend Veer Pahadiya attending AP Dhillon’s concert in Mumbai, where Tara performed on stage and danced to the song “Thodi Si Daaru” with the singer. A video of the performance showed AP Dhillon attempting a kiss while Tara gestured “no,” and Veer appeared visibly upset by the situation.
Sharing evidence of the paid PR, Tara reposted an influencer’s post stating: “Thank you for speaking up. This was all paid PR to damage my image. It’s disgusting that they prepared a list of points for creators to immediately share.”
The influencer claimed they were instructed: “You will get payment within an hour; just post content on the eight points we shared.” The negative points targeted Tara personally, including claims that she was after Veer’s money and was every man’s nightmare.
Tara condemned the actions, writing: “These captions and comments were sent to hundreds of creators and thousands of meme pages to ruin my career, my relationship, and my image. Disgusting and shameful. It is clear that unhappy people are hurt by others’ happiness. I will not stop sharing the truth. See for yourself.”
Veer Pahadiya publicly supported Tara, commenting: “Always with you.” The incident has sparked widespread discussion on paid online defamation and influencer ethics.
