
Six years after the untimely demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, his legacy continues to inspire millions. On the occasion of the late actor’s birth anniversary on January 21, his father Krishna Kumar Singh announced the establishment of a film and acting institute in Sushant’s memory.
The institute will be named the “Sushant Singh Rajput Memorial Club and Film Development Institute.” The initiative aims to nurture young talent interested in cinema, arts, and culture, reflecting Sushant’s creative vision and his passion for learning and innovation.
According to reports, the institute will offer training in acting, direction, writing, and technical aspects of filmmaking, providing a structured platform for aspiring artists. Workshops and training programmes will be conducted at its office located in Kankarbagh Housing Colony, Patna, marking a significant cultural initiative for Bihar.
Speaking about the project, Sushant’s father stated that the institute is inspired by his son’s dreams and creative thinking, and seeks to give opportunities to young aspirants who wish to build a career in films but lack access to professional guidance.
The founding members of the institute include Krishna Kumar Singh, Pramod Kumar Singh, Prof. B.N. Singh, Arun Singh, Dr. Sunil Chand Chuni, Shailendra Kumar Singh, Chandrashekhar Singh, and Rajeshwari Singh.
Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020, at his residence in Mumbai, a tragedy that deeply shook the nation. While investigations related to his death drew widespread attention at the time, the actor continues to live on in public memory through his work, intellect, and influence.
The newly announced institute stands as a tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput’s enduring legacy—transforming grief into guidance, and remembrance into opportunity.
