In his heartfelt note, Sidharth wrote that his father lived life with unwavering principles and remained positive even during difficult phases. He revealed that Sunil Malhotra was a Merchant Navy Captain, and faced illness with silent courage.

Sidharth Malhotra also mentioned that his father had suffered a stroke, which left him dependent on a wheelchair. Despite his health challenges, Sunil Malhotra reportedly never lost his spirit and continued to inspire his family with strength and optimism.
