Popular comedy show ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’ is all set to return in a new avatar as ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain 2.0’, featuring Shilpa Shinde reprising her role as Angoori Bhabhi. Meanwhile, Shubhangi Atre, who has played the role for nearly a decade, has bid farewell to the show. The actress opened up about her reasons for taking this major step.
When asked why she decided to leave the show, Shubhangi shared candidly, saying that “to reach somewhere, you must leave somewhere.” She expressed that she has contributed a lot to the show over the years, and it will always hold a special place in her heart.
“I’ve Dedicated 10 Years to the Show”
Shubhangi reflected on her decade-long journey, stating, “Ten years is a long time for any artist. I’ve given this show my heart and soul, and now I genuinely feel it’s time to try new things and explore opportunities.”
Addressing concerns about leaving a role she’s so closely associated with, Shubhangi said, “With social media and various platforms today, people know me not just as ‘Bhabiji’ but as Shubhangi. In 2026, I want to do something better—new shows, new series, and spread more love.”
Passing the Baton with Gratitude
In a recent interview, Shubhangi added, “I am now ending this replacement phase. Shilpa Shinde had entrusted me with this role like a small child, and I nurtured it for 10 years. Now, I am wholeheartedly returning it to her. I wish her and the entire team all the very best.”
Shubhangi Atre’s departure marks the end of a remarkable chapter in her career, as she looks forward to embracing fresh challenges and new beginnings in the entertainment world.
