Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’ Not Postponed: Alia, Ranbir, and Vicky’s Film on Track

Contrary to recent rumors, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated film Love and War has not been postponed to 2027. Fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as the film remains on schedule, with the shoot for its songs set to begin soon.

‘Love and War’ Update
Reports had claimed that the historical drama, starring Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal, would release only in 2027. However, sources close to the production have clarified that these rumors are false. The film is slated for a 2026 release.

This marks the first time Alia, Ranbir, and Vicky will appear together in lead roles. Known for his grand sets, powerful choreography, and emotionally charged music, Bhansali is gearing up to offer audiences a spectacular cinematic experience.

Song Shoot to Begin Soon
According to sources, the first song of the film will start shooting on 20 January 2026 at Goregaon Film City, featuring Alia, Ranbir, and Vicky. Renowned choreographer Ganesh Acharya will handle the high-energy track, reflecting Bhansali’s signature style. The second song, planned for February, will be choreographed by Shiamak Davar and promises to be even bigger and more experimental.

Upcoming Projects for Alia and Ranbir
Apart from Love and War, Alia Bhatt has Alpha, part of YRF’s Spy Universe, scheduled to release on 17 April 2026. Ranbir Kapoor will star in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayanam, which will release in two parts, featuring Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, and Yash among other stars.

Fans can now look forward to Love and War as planned, with Bhansali’s signature grandeur set to shine on the big screen.
