Bollywood fans are in for an interesting development as Salman Khan’s upcoming film ‘Battle of Galwan’ announces its release date. Scheduled for 17 April 2026, the movie’s timing is now set to clash with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s spy-action thriller ‘Alpha’, prompting a potential postponement.
‘Battle of Galwan’ Release Date Announced
The teaser for Salman Khan’s film was unveiled on his 60th birthday, along with the official release date. Directed by Apoorv Lakhiya, the film portrays the real-life 2020 Galwan Valley skirmish between Indian and Chinese soldiers. Besides Salman, Chitrangda Singh also stars in the high-octane drama.
‘Alpha’ Faces Potential Delay
Alia Bhatt and Sharvari play lead roles in ‘Alpha’, the seventh installment of the YRF Spy Universe, directed by Shiv Ravel. The story follows two elite agents and also features Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film was originally slated for 17 April 2026, directly clashing with Salman Khan’s release. Reports suggest producer Aditya Chopra intends to avoid the clash and may push the release date forward. However, no official announcement has been made yet.
Previous Postponement of ‘Alpha’
This would be the second postponement for ‘Alpha’, which was initially scheduled for Christmas 2025. The delay was due to pending visual effects work, and now the release is being reconsidered to avoid competing with Salman Khan’s big-budget war drama.
Fans can expect both films to bring high-stakes action to the big screen, but it seems ‘Alpha’ may have to wait a bit longer to reach audiences without clashing with the Salman Khan blockbuster.
