A video of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has gone viral online after the actor tried shaking hands with a robot at the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) match in Surat. The robot initially didn’t respond, causing amusement among onlookers, before eventually extending its hand following a few commands.

The Viral Moment
Salman Khan, who is currently in the spotlight for his upcoming film Battle of Galwan, which is set to release on April 17, 2026, visited Surat for the ISPL match on January 30. After greeting all the players, he approached a robot at the end of the line to shake hands. Initially, the robot didn’t react, leaving Salman slightly awkward. After someone in the background gave a command, the robot finally moved, and Salman completed the handshake.

About Battle of Galwan
Salman Khan’s forthcoming film Battle of Galwan is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between India and China, which saw 20 Indian soldiers martyred and several Chinese casualties. The Chinese government expressed objections, with the Global Times calling the movie “misleading” and accusing it of presenting facts inaccurately. The film is produced by Salman Khan and his mother Salma Khan, and directed by Apoorv Lakhiya, known for Shootout at Lokhandwala. The shooting was completed in the scenic terrains of Leh-Ladakh.
