The love story and breakup between Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan continues to intrigue fans and the media alike. Recently, journalist Hina Kumawat shared some insights about Salman Khan’s reaction to the birth of Aishwarya’s daughter, Aaradhya.
On-Set Romance and Aftermath
Salman and Aishwarya’s romance blossomed on the sets of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, but the relationship ended within a year. Since their breakup, the two have neither collaborated professionally nor maintained public communication. Yet, anecdotes and stories about their time together continue to emerge.
Salman’s Reaction to Aaradhya’s Birth
On Sunita Ahuja’s podcast, Hina Kumawat recounted how the media was eager to know Salman Khan’s thoughts on the birth of Aaradhya. “Aishwarya had just delivered her daughter, and Salman, being a brand ambassador for a mobile company, was giving an interview,” Hina explained. “Everyone wanted to know his reaction regarding Aishwarya and Abhishek’s baby.”
Hina, however, chose not to ask Salman about Aishwarya becoming a mother. She said, “Aishwarya was already married, and Salman had no relation with her. As a woman, I felt it was inappropriate to ask him that question, so I refrained.”
A few days later, when journalist Hina asked Salman about Sohel Khan’s newborn son, she seized the opportunity to inquire how he felt about becoming an uncle. Salman’s response was heartfelt: “I’m not just an uncle, I’m a mama (maternal uncle) now. My wish is that they have 11 children.”
Aishwarya’s Parenting Praised by Abhishek
Over the years, Abhishek Bachchan has frequently praised Aishwarya for her role as a mother. In a past interview with Nayandeep Rakshit, he credited her entirely for Aaradhya’s upbringing, saying it allowed him to focus on his film work. He also told Times Now that Aishwarya is a “wonderful mother,” highlighting her dedication and care.
Salman Khan’s candid joy and blessings for Aaradhya’s future reflect the warmth and affection he continues to carry for his former co-star and her family.
