The much-awaited teaser of Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film Dhurandhar 2 was released on Tuesday, generating strong buzz across social media. However, the excitement has been overshadowed by legal trouble, as an FIR has reportedly been filed against the film’s location manager over the alleged unauthorized use of a drone during shooting.
According to reports, the complaint states that a drone was flown without permission in South Mumbai’s high-security Fort area. The FIR was registered on February 1, 2026, at MRA Marg Police Station against location manager Rinku Rajpal Valmiki under Section 223 of the Indian Penal Code. Authorities allege that the act was carried out deliberately in defiance of official orders.
Reports suggest that actor Sanjay Dutt and the film’s crew were shooting at the location on February 1, marking the third day of the shooting schedule. The historic site had been dressed to resemble an old, crowded Pakistani locality for the scene. The production allegedly used a drone without securing the necessary approvals from concerned authorities.
Meanwhile, the makers have unveiled the teaser of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, confirming a multilingual release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam on March 19, 2026. The film is written and directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar. The ensemble cast includes Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun.
The original Dhurandhar was a massive box-office success. The film earned ₹836.95 crore net in India and collected ₹1,303 crore worldwide. Its overseas earnings stood at ₹299 crore, while the domestic gross collection crossed ₹1,004 crore, making it one of the highest-grossing films of its time.
Ranveer Singh, who debuted in Bollywood with Band Baaja Baaraat in 2010, has delivered several acclaimed performances in films such as Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, Simmba, and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. After appearing only in Dhurandhar last year, he is set to return with its sequel this year. Industry reports also suggest that Singh has stepped away from Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3, though no official confirmation has been made.
