Rani Mukerji Admits She’s Afraid of Daughter Adira: “If I Spank Her, She’ll Spank Me Back”

Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji recently opened up about her 10-year-old daughter Adira, revealing that she is often intimidated by her little girl. The actress shared that she cannot even spank Adira, as her daughter would immediately retaliate.

On Her Relationship with Adira
Rani has always been protective of Adira’s privacy, choosing not to reveal her face publicly, but she frequently shares insights about their bond. In a candid conversation with Zoom, Rani described Adira as her “biggest cheerleader” and revealed that her daughter doesn’t watch Rani’s films. She explained, “Adira belongs to Generation Alpha. She’s very close to me and extremely proud of me. She didn’t watch my films because she can’t bear to see me cry. So when I’m happy and dancing on screen, she enjoys it. She likes Hichki, a little love, a little magic, and even Bunty Aur Babli. But she struggles with scenes where I die right at the beginning.”

Adira and Makeup
Rani also shared a cute anecdote about her daughter’s opinion on makeup: “Whenever I wear makeup, she says, ‘Mom, you don’t look like my mama.’ Once I remove it, she comes to me and says, ‘Now you look like my mama.’”

Adira, the Alpha Child
The actress admitted that Adira’s strong personality can be intimidating. “She scolds me sometimes. She’s a Gen Alpha. I have to listen to her. Every generation changes. I used to get spanked by my mother, but I can’t do that with my daughter—she would spank me back! During the National Awards, she was jumping all over the house. She’s very adorable, but I’m genuinely afraid of her because she’s such an alpha child,” Rani revealed.
