Ramayanam: Ranbir Breaks Shiva’s Bow, Yash Kidnaps Sita, Sunny Deol Flies as Hanuman – The AI Magic Behind Nitesh Tiwari’s Epic

One of the biggest films of 2026, Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayanam, is all set for a Diwali release. The film reportedly has a budget of ₹4,000 crore and features a star-studded cast enhanced with AI-generated imagery. From Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram to Yash as Ravana, the film promises a spectacular retelling of the Indian epic.

AI-Generated Cast Images Go Viral

Since the release of the first look in 2025, fans have eagerly awaited updates on Ramayanam. Recently, an Instagram user named Digital Dreamer shared AI-generated images depicting scenes from the film in an animated style.

In these images:

  • Sunny Deol appears as Hanuman, flying over the ocean.
  • Ranbir Kapoor is shown as a young Lord Ram, standing with a bow and arrow, breaking Shiva’s bow to win Sita’s hand.
  • Yash, in the role of Ravana, is seen abducting Sai Pallavi’s Sita and carrying her to Lanka.
  • Sai Pallavi embodies Sita, exuding grace and elegance throughout the scenes.

Fans have been left amazed by the AI renderings, with social media reactions ranging from admiration for Ranbir and Yash to praise for Sunny Deol and Sai Pallavi’s portrayals. Comments like “Yash as Ravana looks even better than Ram” and “Everyone looks perfect” went viral across platforms.

A Nod to the Classic Anime

The AI images also draw inspiration from the 1993 anime film Ramayanam: The Legend of Prince Rama, a collaboration between Indian and Japanese creators. Directed by Yugo Sako, Koichi Sasaki, and Ram Mohan, the film remains highly acclaimed, holding an IMDb rating of 9.2/10, one of the highest for any Indian film.

Star-Studded Cast and Heavy Budget

Produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios, Ramayanam reportedly cost ₹4,000 crore, making it one of India’s most expensive films ever. The film features:

  • Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram
  • Sai Pallavi as Sita
  • Ravi Dubey as Lakshman
  • Sunny Deol as Hanuman
  • Yash as Ravana

The film will release in two parts, with Part 1 hitting theaters on Diwali 2026 and Part 2 scheduled for Diwali 2027. International techniques and AI enhancements are expected to make it a visual spectacle unlike any other in Indian cinema.
