South superstar Ram Charan has welcomed new additions to his family. After the birth of his first child in 2023, his wife Upasana recently gave birth to twins—a boy and a girl—bringing immense joy to the family. Ram Charan and his father, megastar Chiranjeevi, shared the happy news with fans on social media.

Ram Charan’s Family Background

Ram Charan hails from the illustrious Konidela family. His grandfather, Konidela Venkata Rao, worked as an excise inspector and also acted in films. Chiranjeevi, his father, went on to become a legendary actor while keeping his family life private. Chiranjeevi and his wife, Surekha, have three children: daughters Sushmita and Shriya, and son Ram Charan.

Ram Charan’s uncles and aunts are also active in the film industry. Daughter Vijaya married Shivaprasad and is the mother of actors Sai Dharam Tej and Vaishnav Tej. Nagendra Babu married Padmaja and has a daughter, Niharika, while son Varun Tej is engaged to Lavanya Tripathi.

Ram Charan’s Half-Russian Brother

Actor Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan’s uncle, has three marriages. He first married Nandini in 1997, then lived with actress Renu Desai in 2001 and became father to Akira Nandan in 2004. After divorcing his first wife in 2008, he married Renu in 2009 and had another child, Adhya.

During the shoot of Teen Maar in 2011, Pawan Kalyan met Russian model Anna Lezhneva. He divorced his second wife in 2012 and married Anna in 2013.
