Master Raju, the former child artist of Indian cinema, recently shared some untold stories about Bollywood legend Rajesh Khanna, including a fascinating anecdote involving his son-in-law, actor Akshay Kumar.

Recalling an incident, Raju said, “I heard that when Akshay Kumar went to meet Rajesh Khanna at his home, Khanna was sitting upstairs. Someone informed him that Akshay had come to see him. His reaction was, ‘I am his father-in-law; he will come to me. Why should I go to him?’”

Raju also reflected on his personal experiences with the superstar. He mentioned that despite working closely with Khanna on a television serial, the actor initially refused to recognize him. “I often met him in his office while working on the show, yet he wouldn’t acknowledge me. After working with him for a year, one day he finally called me by my name. I was surprised that he knew my name. When I asked the director, he confirmed that Khanna knew who I was and often spoke about my work as a child artist, but he never showed it openly,” Raju recalled.

Khanna’s On-Set Habits
Raju also spoke about Khanna’s notorious habit of arriving late on set. *“During the shooting of *Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein, the set was arranged in China Creek outside Bombay. Hema Malini, I, and others would reach the set early in the morning, but Khanna would be brought in later by the producer. Even Hema had to wait for him,” he added.
