Pawan Kalyan Gifts ₹3-Crore Luxury SUV to ‘OG’ Director After ₹300-Crore Blockbuster Success

South superstar and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has made headlines once again—this time for a grand gesture of gratitude. Following the massive success of his film They Call Him OG, the actor gifted a luxury Land Rover Defender SUV worth nearly ₹3 crore to the film’s director Sujeeth, acknowledging his contribution to what has become the biggest blockbuster of Kalyan’s career.

They Call Him OG has emerged as a box-office juggernaut, crossing the ₹300-crore mark worldwide and firmly establishing itself as Pawan Kalyan’s highest-grossing film to date. Riding high on the film’s success, the actor decided to reward the director with what Sujeeth described as the “best gift” of his life.

Director Shares Emotional Note

On Tuesday, Sujeeth took to social media to share pictures of the luxury SUV gifted by Pawan Kalyan. Posting photographs of the black Land Rover Defender, he wrote:
“Best gift ever. I am overwhelmed and extremely grateful. The love and encouragement from my dear Kalyan garu mean everything to me. From being his fan since childhood to this moment—I will always be indebted.”

The photos show Pawan Kalyan personally opening the car door for the director, smiling as Sujeeth takes the driver’s seat, and the two posing together beside the gleaming vehicle. According to industry estimates, the Land Rover Defender is priced between ₹1.29 crore and ₹3.18 crore, depending on the variant, in Hyderabad.

Fans flooded the comment section, praising Pawan Kalyan for his humility and generosity, calling the gesture a true mark of leadership and gratitude.

A Year of Highs and Lows

The year has been a rollercoaster for Pawan Kalyan. While his ambitious period drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu—directed by Krish and Jyothi Krishna—earned over ₹116 crore worldwide, it fell short of expectations given its massive budget. In contrast, They Call Him OG delivered a thunderous box-office response, firmly restoring the actor’s commercial dominance.

After the 2023 release of Bro, Pawan Kalyan had significantly reduced his film commitments to focus on the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. Following the electoral success of the Jana Sena Party, in alliance with the TDP and BJP, he returned to complete his pending film projects—reaping spectacular results with OG.

What’s Next for Pawan Kalyan

Looking ahead, Pawan Kalyan will next be seen in director Harish Shankar’s much-anticipated film Ustad Bhagat Singh, slated for release in 2026.

With They Call Him OG redefining his box-office legacy and his magnanimous gesture towards his director winning hearts, Pawan Kalyan continues to command respect both on and off the screen.
