umbai: Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda was rushed to Criticare Asia Multi-Specialty Hospital late on the night of November 12 after suddenly collapsing at home. At the time, his wife Sunita Ahuja and daughter Teena were not at home. The actor’s close friend and legal advisor Lalit Bindal accompanied him to the hospital and has now shared a detailed account of the incident.

cording to Lalit Bindal, Govinda began feeling weak and uneasy since the morning of November 11. Around 8:30–9:00 PM, he took medication prescribed by his family doctor over the phone and rested in his room. However, at approximately midnight, he again experienced dizziness, shortness of breath, and weakness. Lalit was called immediately, and by 12:15 AM, he reached Govinda’s home and, following the doctor’s advice, took him to the hospital. Govinda was admitted to the emergency ward around 1 AM, where he underwent necessary tests and monitoring.

Health Update:

Lalit Bindal confirmed that Govinda is stable and has been shifted from the emergency ward to a regular hospital room. Multiple tests have been conducted, and all reports are currently awaited. “He is resting comfortably, and his condition is better than before. Discharge will be considered once the reports are reviewed,” Lalit added.

Where Was Sunita Ahuja?

When Govinda collapsed, Sunita Ahuja was attending a wedding out of town, while their daughter Teena was in Chandigarh for work. Upon receiving the news, Sunita immediately returned home.

Medical Advice:

Govinda reportedly complained of heaviness in the head and severe headache, and his manager Shashi Sinha stated that the actor will now be examined by a neurologist to rule out any complications.
