Neha Verma Exits ‘Naagin 7’ After Just Three Weeks, Shares Her Thoughts on the Role

Ekta Kapoor’s popular supernatural drama Naagin 7 has been dominating the TRP charts, quickly rising to the second spot within two weeks. The show stars Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Namik Paul in pivotal roles. Esha Singh plays the sister of Priyanka’s character, Purvi, although her character is deceased and now appears only in occasional cameos. Earlier episodes also featured Karan Kundra and Tejaswi Prakash, while past Naagin actresses—from Mouni Roy to Nia Sharma—were recreated using AI for brief appearances.

Recently, it was announced that Neha Verma’s character has been written off the show after just three weeks. Her role, though brief, was significant. Verma portrayed a negative character named Swarna, and she reflected positively on her experience. “I played a negative role. In shows like Naagin, the first characters to die often receive the most attention, because the story begins from there. I shot for about four months, and it took a lot of effort and focus to bring this character to life. I am genuinely happy and satisfied with my work,” she said.

Verma added that Swarna was a complex character—greedy, deceitful towards her husband, involved with a lover, and ultimately killed. “I also got a chance to perform an item song and for the first time wore a harness for an action sequence, which was thrilling. I enjoyed all the action, drama, and romance in such a big show. I even got to play a double role in one scene,” she noted.

About ‘Naagin 7’ Storyline
The show’s storyline centers on the annihilation of the Ananta family by the Sethi family, which sets the stage for the birth of the Naagin. Priyanka Chahar Choudhary now portrays the Naagin, infiltrating the Sethi household and eliminating enemies. In upcoming promos, she is shown confronting Swarna’s husband, a minister, and putting him in danger from a crocodile.

Neha Verma’s exit highlights the fleeting yet impactful nature of pivotal supporting roles in the high-stakes, dramatic world of Naagin 7.
