Mumbai: Actress Mrunal Thakur recently opened up about her views on love, calling it a “beautiful feeling” that everyone on earth should experience. Her comments come amid ongoing rumors linking her romantically with South star Dhanush, with speculation even about a possible marriage.
Love Is a Transformative Experience
In an interview with Filmi Gyaan, Mrunal described love as a profound experience that can make a person better. “It’s like re-parenting yourself and resolving the inner child’s issues. It’s truly one of the most beautiful things in the world,” she said. She added, “I sincerely pray that everyone gets to experience love in their life.”
Changing Definitions of Love
Mrunal also spoke about how the definition of love has evolved. Asked whether women in love become more compassionate, she said, “Not necessarily. The most important aspect of love is acceptance. Sometimes, finding love and accepting it can be very difficult.”
Love Requires Dedication
The actress emphasized that love is the only constant in life. “It depends on how you experience it. When someone is in love, they become a giver, regardless of gender. You dedicate yourself to the person and are willing to do anything for them,” she said.
Rumors About Dhanush
Reports had linked Mrunal and Dhanush romantically, with speculation about marriage. However, a source close to Dhanush clarified to Moneycontrol that the news is false. “They are just good friends. Dhanush has no plans to remarry as he is focused on co-parenting his sons, Yatra and Linga,” the source said.
Dhanush and Family Background
Dhanush, the son-in-law of superstar Rajinikanth, was previously married to Aishwarya. They married on November 18, 2004, had two sons—Yatra (2006) and Linga (2010)—and separated on January 17, 2022. Both continue to co-parent their children.
Mrunal’s Upcoming Projects
Mrunal is currently promoting her music video Bheegi Bheegi, composed by A.R. Rahman and sung by A.R. Amin and Jasleen Royal, featuring Dulquer Salmaan alongside her.
She will also be seen in the romantic drama Do Deewane Shehar Mein, co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi, produced by G Studios and Bhansali Productions, releasing in theaters on February 20, 2026.
Dhanush’s Upcoming Movies
Dhanush will appear in Kara, currently in production, following his 2025 film Idli Kadhai, which he also produced and directed.
