
The much-anticipated ‘Mirzapur: The Film’ has officially started shooting, generating excitement among fans of the popular web series. Actress Shweta Tripathi shared glimpses of the muhurat pooja and the ongoing shoot through her social media, while Ali Fazal, who reprises his role as Guddu Bhaiya, posted a video announcing the shooting location as Rajasthan.
Rajasthan Becomes the New Set
Ali Fazal shared an Instagram video walking in character, thanking the local people for their hospitality:
“The shoot for Mirzapur: The Film is currently underway in Rajasthan. Special thanks to the people of Jaisalmer and Jodhpur for giving us so much love and warmth, treating us like family. Also, heartfelt gratitude to all the hotels that made us feel at home while working far from our own homes. Khama Ghani!”
Shweta Tripathi posted eight photos featuring key cast members including Divyendu Sharma (Munna Bhaiya), Pankaj Tripathi (Kaleen Bhaiya), Ali Fazal (Guddu), Shreya Pilgaonkar, and Ravi Kishan. Her caption read:
“The best thing that happened in 2025 – we have officially started shooting Mirzapur: The Film.”
Exciting Cast Updates
Fans are particularly thrilled to see Jitendra Kumar, known for his role in ‘Panchayat’, joining the cast as Bablu Pandit, replacing Vikrant Massey. The film promises intense action sequences and power struggles among the mafia of Mirzapur, with Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Divyendu Sharma reprising their iconic roles.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters in 2026, and fans are eagerly awaiting the first look of this high-octane action-drama.
