Riteish Deshmukh shared a heartfelt message on Instagram: “It is heartbreaking to know that we have lost Ajit Dada in an accident. One of Maharashtra’s most energetic leaders, he never tolerated shortcomings and constantly motivated those around him. His wisdom was unparalleled, and he was dearly loved across the state. His sudden departure leaves an irreplaceable void. I am grateful for the moments I got to speak with him and for the kindness he showed me. My deepest condolences to the Pawar family, his loved ones, and millions of supporters.”
Rahul Vaidya also shared a photo with Ajit Pawar, captioning it: “Very shocking. Dada, Rest in Peace. Om Shanti.”
According to officials, Ajit Pawar, along with four others, was traveling from Mumbai to Baramati to attend a public meeting amid ongoing Zilla Parishad and Panchayat elections. The aircraft went out of control during landing at a Baramati airstrip around 9 AM and caught fire, leaving no survivors on board.
This sudden tragedy has left Maharashtra in mourning, with leaders, citizens, and celebrities expressing profound grief over the loss of a dynamic and influential political figure.
