TV actor Kushal Tandon, last seen in the popular series Barsatein, has strongly refuted recent reports claiming that his relationship with co-star Shivangi Joshi was one-sided. The duo reportedly grew close while shooting the show, but later parted ways.
Kushal Responds to Speculations
Kushal took to Instagram to address media reports suggesting that he was in unreciprocated love. Expressing his frustration, he wrote, “For the media houses spreading unverified and baseless stories about me: I understand that using my name may increase clicks, and if some choose to rely on imagination to fill their columns, that is their choice. However, it cannot come at the cost of my self-respect and dignity. Claims that I was in a ‘one-sided relationship’ or that I ‘did not move forward’ are not only absurd but raise serious questions about the credibility and intent of those writing them.”
A Strong Warning to Media
Kushal added, “Publishing unverified news was irresponsible enough. Now, some have gone a step further, making baseless claims based on an Instagram post that never represented reality. Journalistic principles should be respected. Let me be clear: next time such reports appear about me, my response will not be limited to a single post of condemnation.”
On-Set Chemistry
The actors’ on-screen pairing in Barsatein: Mausam Pyaar Ka was well-received, which reportedly brought them closer off-screen. In a previous interview with Bombay Times, Kushal confirmed his relationship with Shivangi Joshi. The show aired from July 2023 to February 2024.
Kushal Tandon’s candid response underlines the actor’s commitment to protecting his personal life and reputation, sending a strong message to media outlets about the consequences of spreading unverified stories.
