Kritika and Karan, who started dating in 2009 during the shoot of Kitni Mohabbat Hai, were once one of television’s most beloved couples. Their relationship ended in 2011, leaving fans shocked.
Why the Breakup Happened
In a 2012 interview with Times of India, Kritika revealed that there was no single dramatic reason for their split. “We didn’t fight, but due to our busy schedules and commitments to new shows, our relationship suffered. It’s sad that we couldn’t maintain it. We had a strong emotional connection and spent almost 24 hours together, yet he never proposed to me,” she said.
Kritika added, “There was no planning about our future, no talk of marriage, no discussion about breaking up either. Nothing happened like, ‘It’s all over.’ Even today, we share a sense of comfort and can talk openly about anything. If either of us needs advice or starts something new, we call each other first.”

Today, Kritika and Karan share a cordial relationship. They continue to follow each other on Instagram despite their breakup. Karan Kundrra is now dating Tejasswi Prakash, while Kritika Kamra has moved forward and is in a relationship with TV presenter-actor Gaurav Kapoor.
