‘Kohrra 2’ Trailer Out: Who Killed Preet Bajwa? Mona Singh and Barun Sobti Hunt Truth Amid Fog

The trailer for the web series ‘Kohrra Season 2’, starring Barun Sobti and Mona Singh, has finally dropped, ahead of its OTT release in February. The story unfolds around the brutal murder of a woman in Dalerpur, Punjab, and promises a gripping mystery that keeps viewers guessing.

The 2-minute-13-second trailer, released by Netflix, is set against the misty backdrop of Dalerpur. Barun Sobti reprises his role as Assistant Sub-Inspector Amarpal Garundi, who is transferred to Dalerpur and works under his new, stern boss, Sub-Inspector Dhanwant Kaur, played by Mona Singh. The plot revolves around the murder of a woman named Preet Bajwa (Pooja Bhambra). As the investigation unfolds, dark secrets from the past surface. Amarpal and Dhanwant navigate not only the hunt for the killer but also confront their own personal struggles and conflicts.

Directed by Sudeep Sharma and Faisal Rehman, and produced by Saurabh Malhotra, Sudeep Sharma, Manuj Mitra, and Tina Tharwani, the trailer opens with Preet’s body being discovered in a barn. Shockingly, the body is found at her brother’s house, complicating the case further.

The storyline of Kohrra 2
Amarpal, alongside his new strict boss Dhanwant, delves into the murder investigation. As the inquiry progresses, suspicion falls on Preet’s family and close associates, including her husband, portrayed by Ranvijay Singha. The narrative also explores a related missing person report, adding layers to the mystery.

Authentic regional touch
Following the style of the first season, ‘Kohrra 2’ incorporates dialogues in a Punjabi-Hindi mix, giving the story an authentic, grounded feel. The creators—Gunjit Chopra, Diggi Sisodia, and Sudeep Sharma—ensure that the regional flavor of Punjab enhances the storytelling.

Release date
‘Kohrra Season 2’ is scheduled for release on 11 February 2026 and will be available for streaming on Netflix.

Cast insights
Barun Sobti shared, “Amarpal Garundi’s character is more introspective this season. He seeks a fresh start and new hope, yet in a world like Kohrra, the past never truly lets go. This season’s mysteries are deeper, and the characters are more complex.”

Mona Singh added, “Dhanwant is a reserved but strong-willed officer. She constantly faces challenges of responsibility, loss, and proving herself. Portraying such a character required immense patience and focus.”

With its intense plot, layered characters, and atmospheric storytelling, ‘Kohrra 2’ promises to be a must-watch crime thriller this February.
