Kiara shared the name revelation on Instagram, writing:
“From our prayers, into our arms, our divine blessing, our princess — Sarayah Malhotra.”
The post featured a heartwarming image of the newborn’s tiny feet set against a serene green background. Within minutes, the announcement went viral, with congratulatory messages from fans and celebrities. Meaning of the Name ‘Sarayah’
According to several naming websites, Sarayah is derived from the Hebrew name Sarai, which means “princess.” In the Old Testament, Sarai was the original name of Sarah.
The modern spelling “Saraya/Sarayah” began gaining popularity around 2007 and is often associated with grace, divinity, and elegance.
Kiara and Sidharth have given the name a unique twist with a subtle change in spelling, making it distinct and personal to their little one.
A Thoughtful Birth Announcement
When the couple first welcomed their daughter on 15 July at Mumbai’s Reliance Hospital, they shared a heartfelt message the next day on social media:
