Actress and social media sensation Khushi Mukherjee, known for her bold personality and frequent controversies, has once again stirred debate with her recent revelations. In an interview with Galatta India, the actress opened up about her struggles in the film industry and levelled serious allegations against several A-list actors including Arbaaz Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and Akshay Kumar. She also questioned why actress Sunny Leone is not banned despite her own content being labelled “vulgar.”
According to Khushi, she was offered a role in a film associated with Arbaaz Khan, but the project never took off. She claimed that the producers had given her a signing amount but later confessed that they were under heavy debt. They even asked her not to deposit the cheque and allegedly requested financial help from her. When she refused due to her own EMI commitments, she says they informed her that “Arbaaz does not like you and has issues working with you.”
Khushi further stated that she was repeatedly called to Arbaaz’s office with promises of a music video and meetings with financiers. “I worked for almost one and a half years preparing for the role—attending dance classes and promoting the project without payment. But the film never began,” she said emotionally, revealing that she broke down in tears during the interview.
The actress also claimed that she discontinued the app that was her main source of income because it was being perceived as vulgar. “If my app was banned for being inappropriate, then why is Sunny Leone not banned? Why are only Indian artists targeted while foreigners are allowed?” she asked.
Khushi went on to make serious allegations involving Sanjay Dutt, stating that loud late-night parties, blaring horns, and disturbances near her residence made living conditions unbearable. She also claimed that both Sanjay Dutt and Akshay Kumar had earlier remarked that she should be banned because of the clothes she wears in public. “How long will I be trolled for my outfits? Everyone—from A-listers to even Rakhi Sawant—joins the gang against me. Why not gang up against Rhea Chakraborty or Sunny Leone?” she added.
Khushi revealed that despite her brother having worked with Priyanka Chopra, she continues to receive “strange and inappropriate offers” from the industry. She believes that she is being unfairly targeted for her dressing style and outspoken nature.
Her statements have once again opened up the conversation about the treatment of women in the entertainment industry, the pressures of public image, and the alleged hypocrisy surrounding morality standards.
