Comedian Kapil Sharma is back with the fourth season of his Netflix show ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, and the premiere episode is already creating a buzz. In one of the acts, Kapil appears in a ‘Raja’ avatar, delivering a monologue that has gone viral on social media, subtly highlighting pressing issues in the country. Fans and viewers are praising him for cleverly mixing humor with social commentary.
A Monologue That Hits Home
In the clip, Kapil is seen as a king, flanked by two guards. He begins his monologue:
“We are building a new country. Some people rebelled and overthrew the throne. They kept asking for jobs, roads, and hospitals. But in our country, the only thing that grew was inflation. Even that, they ask us to reduce!”
Witty Commentary on Religion and Education
Kapil then turns his attention to religion, saying:
“If we have 100 citizens, they should all follow different religions. If they were all of the same faith, they could beat the king. But if they’re different, they’ll fight among themselves.”
He also takes a dig at the education system:
“Just like sugar-free or alcohol-free, our country will be education-free. There will be no concept of formal learning. Being uneducated has many benefits.”
Fans Applaud the Satire
The video is spreading rapidly online, with fans praising Kapil’s sharp wit. One viewer commented, “Journalists are doing comedy, and comedians are doing journalism!” Another wrote, “This humor and satire is exactly what we need.” Many added that Kapil, through comedy, is speaking uncomfortable truths, while some noted that “die-hard fans may get upset.”
Priyanka Chopra Joins the Fun
The premiere episode also featured Priyanka Chopra, who is soon to be seen in S.S. Rajamouli’s film ‘Varanasi’, reportedly produced on a budget of ₹1300 crore.
Kapil Sharma’s blend of humor and commentary in the ‘Raja’ act has already made the episode a must-watch, proving once again that comedy can be a powerful tool for social reflection.
