Actress Jiya Shankar has put an end to circulating rumors about her engagement with reality TV star Abhishek Malhan. The actress shared a photo with her boyfriend, clarifying that the engagement stories are false.
Social media had linked Jiya and Abhishek after their stint on Bigg Boss OTT 2, claiming that the duo was engaged. However, on 30 December 2025, Jiya posted a picture with a mystery man on Instagram, showing him kissing her forehead. She accompanied the photo with a red heart emoji and the caption: “Let’s leave false rumors in 2025.” This subtly but clearly refutes any claims about her engagement to Abhishek.
The Rumor:
The portal Tele Khazana had reported that Jiya and Abhishek were about to get engaged and eventually marry, stating that their relationship was now public. Additional posts even claimed that the engagement had already taken place.
Friendship Ended:
Jiya and Abhishek were known to be good friends during Bigg Boss OTT 2. However, after leaving the show, both blocked each other on social media. Jiya clarified that her relationship with the mystery man was never more than friendship with Abhishek. She also warned fans to refrain from spreading personal rumors and respect their privacy.
Jiya’s post decisively sets the record straight, showing she is happily in a relationship with someone else and dismissing any false engagement claims.
