
The much-awaited romantic track “Ishq Ka Fever” from Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri’s upcoming film O Romeo has finally been released. Fans were quick to get emotional upon hearing the song, especially because it comes just five days after Arijit Singh announced his retirement from playback singing.

Arijit Singh retires from playback singing

“Hello, wishing you all a very Happy New Year. Thank you for the immense love you’ve given me over the years. I’m happy to announce that I will no longer take on new playback singing assignments. I am ending this chapter here. It has been an incredible journey.”
He did clarify that he would honor any prior commitments made before his retirement.
About ‘O Romeo’
Based on Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, the film also features Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwari, Tamanna Bhatia, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal, and Vikrant Massey. O Romeo is scheduled for theatrical release on February 13, 2026.
