No Apologies Needed

During an appearance on Namrata Zakaria’s YouTube show, Malaika was asked if she identifies with the bold image her performances project. She replied, “Absolutely. Why would I try to tone it down or apologize for it? People troll you for everything. Many say different things, but I don’t understand what’s so big about this. Dance is a form of expression. I genuinely feel amazing being able to do this at 52. I must be doing something right.”

Feeling Empowered Through Dance

She added, “It’s very empowering and makes me feel really good.” Over her career, Malaika has delivered memorable hits such as Anarkali in Housefull 2, Munni Badnaam Hui in Dabangg, Hot Rasili in Welcome, and Chaiyya Chaiyya in Dil Se.
