Hema Malini Shares Emotional Reason for Not Watching Dharmendra’s Last Film ‘Ikkis’

Mumbai: Veteran actress Hema Malini, still mourning the loss of her late husband Dharmendra, revealed that she has not yet gathered the courage to watch his final film, Ikkis. In a recent interview, Hema spoke candidly about her emotions and shared when she might finally view the film.

Hema explained that when Ikkis released, she was busy with work in Mathura. “I cannot watch his film right now—it would be too emotional for me,” she said tearfully. She added that even her daughters feel the same way, and perhaps she will watch it later, once the wounds begin to heal.

Addressing ongoing rumors about a rift with Dharmendra’s first family, Hema clarified that their relationship has always been cordial and warm. “I don’t know why people think there’s any problem between us. People love to gossip. Why should I explain my personal life? We are happy and close. That’s all I will say,” she added.

Dharmendra, the legendary Bollywood actor, passed away on November 24, 2025, at his home in Mumbai at the age of 89. He had been facing health challenges and was previously admitted to Breach Candy Hospital. His last rites were performed on November 25, 2025, in Mumbai.
