Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, recently shared details of a shocking incident involving the veteran actor being confronted by a group of unknown individuals outside his residence late at night. According to Sinha, the actor was carrying a firearm at the time, which helped prevent a potential tragedy. He also mentioned that there is video evidence of the incident.
Sinha described the event, saying, “It happened around 3 to 3:30 AM. Quite a few people showed up. Govinda had his mobile phone in hand, and if he hadn’t had a gun, who knows what could have happened. Thankfully, God was on our side. The situation was diffused because he was armed, and the attackers left after a brief confrontation.”
He added, “There was no security arrangement at the time. Later, we also arrived at the scene. I myself got there around 4 AM. Everything has been documented in a police report, and we have videos of the incident. I want to clarify that there is no truth to the rumors being circulated in the media. People often exaggerate, but nothing of that sort happened with Govinda.”
Expressing his concern over false reports, Sinha said, “It feels like people are portraying him as a criminal. We have had to endure many baseless insults. It is very distressing. I pray that everything remains well in his life. He is on the right path, and we are planning to start a few new projects, including his home production films.”
The manager also addressed rumors about Govinda’s personal life, particularly his relationship with his wife Sunita. He stated, “I do not believe there is any problem between them. Both Govinda and Sunita take good care of each other and their children. These rumors are completely baseless.”
This is not the first time Govinda has been involved in a firearm-related incident. In October 2024, he accidentally injured his leg with a licensed revolver while preparing to leave for an early morning flight. He was unharmed otherwise, and no complaints were filed regarding the incident.
