Veteran actor Govinda has broken his silence following claims made by his wife, Sunita Ahuja. He alleged that a conspiracy is being orchestrated against him, involving some family members, including comedian Krishna Abhishek.
Govinda Reacts to Wife’s Allegations
Govinda addressed the accusations in which Sunita claimed that he had an affair with another woman and had not supported their son, Yashvardhan, in building his career. Speaking to the media, Govinda stated that his wife is being used as part of a larger plot against him. He also requested family members not to put pressure on him with their statements in the media.
He told ANI, “How many times have I married? It’s been 40 years. Have I married two or three times? Those who marry multiple times, their wives do not comment; they move on and enjoy life. People in the film industry rarely discuss these matters openly. I’ve seen very few without stains on their reputation. When you are sidelined, you naturally think about how to come out of it.”
Comments on Krishna Abhishek
Govinda also spoke about his nephew Krishna Abhishek, claiming that he too was being used against him. “If you watch Krishna’s TV shows, you will notice how writers get him to say things that humiliate me. I told him that he is being used to insult me and advised him to be cautious. When I warned Krishna, Sunita got angry. I don’t know when people turn against each other and when they reconcile. I am a very calm-natured person,” he said.
Explaining the Support to Son Yashvardhan
Regarding the claims of not supporting his son, Govinda explained, “I work according to my capacity. I do not discuss my children directly with directors or producers. The industry is my family from which I earn my livelihood and fame. That’s why I don’t want any stains on it. But you have to stay alert because these things don’t happen randomly. There’s a conspiracy, and people are trying to create a wrong perception about me. I only request my family not to create situations that make me feel suffocated.”
